چکیده

The Bernoulli shift is a fundamental theoretic model of a sequence of independent and identically distributed(i.i.d.) binary random variables in probability theory, ergodic theory, information theory, and so on. We give a simple sufficient condition for a class of ergodic maps with some symmetric properties to produce a chaotic sequence of i.i.d. binary random variables. This condition is expressed in terms of binary function, which is a generalized version of the Rademacher function for the dyadic map. Applications of such a sequene to communications are also discussed briefly

Statistical Properties of Modulo-p Added p-Ary Sequences

Binary sequences are the most fundamental random numbers and have been extensively used in several applications such as spread-spectrum CDMA communications and cryptosystems. M-sequences, Kasami sequences, and Gold sequences, all of which can be generated by linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs), are well known as conventional binary sequences [1]. It is also well known that chaos phenomena c...

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems

Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

Stochastic analysis of Bernoulli processes

These notes survey some aspects of discrete-time chaotic calculus and its applications, based on the chaos representation property for i.i.d. sequences of random variables. The topics covered include the Clark formula and predictable representation, anticipating calculus, covariance identities and functional inequalities (such as deviation and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities), and an applicati...

Random Binary Sequences in Telecommunications

Realization of modern telecommunication systems is inconceivable without use of different binary sequences. In this paper, an overview of random binary sequences used in different telecommunication systems is given. Basic principles of pseudorandom, chaotic, and true random sequence generation are presented, as well as their application in telecommunications in respect to advantages and drawbac...
